Through Shark Education, Steven conducts his own projects, including the identification of oceanic whitetip sharks in the Egyptian Red Sea and the recent incidents on the island of Reunion.
It also exchanges with various scientists and experts, and also collaborates with various organizations, such as the SharkLab Bimini in the Bahamas or the monitoring of Sudan shark populations having joined the "Divers Aware of Sharks" network of the Cousteau Society.
Steven has published various papers and articles (Scubapeople, researcher of water, Subaqua, Mag Dive, Diver International) related to shark, including a guide and listings of the various species and a handbook on how to behave diving with sharks, and reveals an outstanding speaker when it comes to evoke his "babies" and the threats to them. In 2015, he released his first book "Understanding and Diving with sharks," which provides an overview of these predators but especially some "practical", allowing to best approximate, and safely, these lords of the Oceans ( BOOK see). This commitment to shark grows because Steven has traveled the globe to deepen their knowledge and to share his love of the animal through shark themed trips.
This is why some of his 3500 dives, the counter includes dozens of dives including South Africa, Mozambique, Mexico and the Bahamas, discovering, among others, of top predators that are the bull shark, the tiger shark and the great white.
After a season in the Bahamas and meetings with various industry professionals, he became the first French to propose dives with the great hammerhead and tiger shark. His complicity with Cristina Zenato leads to practice tonic immobility with gray sharks Caribbean.
